DAY STARTS AGAIN

Don't matter where you are,
Or where you been,
Day starts again

Like the trees in the wood,
Hiding from the cold.
Like the man at the half way,
'Fraid of getting old.
There's word on the street,

Like the trees and the leaves,
Hurling to the ground.
Like the man walking 'round,
Gonna take this damn town.

There's word on the street,
All things begin again.
Don't matter where you are,
Or where you been,
The day starts again.

One step ahead, two steps behind.
Two steps ahead, four steps behind.
One step ahead, two steps behind. Two steps ahead, four steps behind.
Don't matter where you are,
Or where you been.
Day starts again.

The Story Behind the Song "Day Starts Again"

No matter where you are or where you been the day starts again.

Day Starts Again is a story of strength and vision. It's about being in a place where things can only get better. Being in a place in life where you are not a kid anymore.

Too many people trying to convince you that you are too old to be chasing a dream of music. With all the mountains and the valleys, the ups and the downs in music, you swear you and your music are gonna take this town.

There's word on the street, all things begin again.

In Day Starts Again, for me, as one of the writers, there is an underlying curiosity of reincarnation. Every day we are born anew.

Since I was a young kid I've had this past life recollection of being a young indian boy. I remember running through the woods, at a time of war, or fighting with another tribe, and I was stabbed in my right side by someone.

That is the end of the memory. I feel as if I died that day in the woods, and then, who knows?

And it seems as though the memory is still strong. Whenever I perform the song live, I feel as though it's his voice that sings the words.

It's as though he's preaching to not be afraid to move forward. If we're willing to fight for it, the day starts again.
